Dr. Mendonca graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1998. She is particularly interested in veterinary surgery, preventive medicine, and palliative veterinary care.

Meet Dr. Mendonca | DVM

Dr. Sonia Mendonca is an Honors graduate with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (1998) and has been practicing veterinary medicine for 28 years. She has worked in Brampton, Toronto, and Orangeville, focusing on small animal surgery and medicine.

Dr. Mendonca loves dogs and cats and finds joy in improving the lives of both animals and their people every day. She has a special fondness for hands-on patient care and creating positive experiences for clients and their pets.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Mendonca enjoys taking her dogs on hikes—though she often ends up carrying her small dog, Benji! She shares her home with two dogs, two cats, seven budgies, and two horses. In her downtime, she enjoys drawing, often focusing on animals and flowers, and indulging in fries and chocolate.
