Dr. Nellissa Stalenhoef, Caledon Veterinarian

Meet Dr. Stalenhoef | DVM

Dr. Nellissa Stalenhoef is a 2019 graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and completed a small animal rotating internship at the Atlantic Veterinary College from 2019–2020. She is currently a PhD candidate in Integrative Biology with a One Health focus at the University of Guelph and has been working with both Glendale and the National Wildlife Centre for nearly five years.

Dr. Nellissa enjoys the wide variety of work veterinary medicine offers and values the opportunity to apply a One Health approach across species and environments. She has a special fondness for eastern screech owls and brings curiosity and enthusiasm to every case.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Nellissa is rarely far from a good cup of coffee. She enjoys playing the board game Wingspan, experimenting with sourdough bread baking, and spending time with her two cats and dog at home.
