How Glendale Came To Be
The desire to alleviate suffering is what brought Dr. Hooper to the veterinary profession. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in 1993. During her time at OVC, one of her professors recommended her for her first job with Dr. Cormack at the Tralee Veterinary Hospital on Mountainview Road, only a few kilometres from where Glendale is now.
In 1999, Dr. Hooper decided to purchase the practice from Dr. Cormack and so she started her career as a business owner as well as a veterinarian. Right away Dr. Hooper knew she wanted to build her own hospital, with her own design so she began the search for a new location. It took her 2 years to find a location that the town of Caledon would approve. There were many other trials and tribulations along the way, but in 2002 the hospital opened in its current location. The new hospital needed a new name, so the name of Dr. Hooper’s husband (Glenn) was combined with the name of one of her sons (Dale) to become the Glendale Veterinary Hospital.
We celebrated our 10 year anniversary in 2012 with a great open house celebration and barbeque that was attended by many of our beloved clients.
Dr. Hooper and the entire team would like to thank all of our clients for supporting Glendale Veterinary Hospital throughout the years! Our love for animals and their owners is what keeps us doing what we do!
