FALL FUN IN THE LEAVES!
A reminder that ticks are active in temperatures above 4 degrees Celsius. Ticks are more than just creepy; they can spread a number of different diseases that affect both pets and people.

Ticks can transmit Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, anaplasmosis, hepatozoonosis, and babesiosis.  Pets on tick prevention medication are much better protected against these harmful diseases.  Bravecto is our product of choice and we encourage all of our canine friends to be on Bravecto all year round.
Even though dogs may be drawn to attractive leaf piles, it's very important to be aware that tick season is still upon us, and ticks love to hang out in those piles of leaves. Enjoy these playful videos and read up on tips to keep your pet tick-free this fall.

OCTOBER IS FARLEY MONTH!
Every year hundreds of veterinary clinics across Ontario participate in the Farley Fundraiser.  We all play an important role in raising funds for deserving animals and heightening awareness of the foundation's charitable work among pet owners and donors.

Created in January 2002, the Farley Foundation is a registered Ontario charity that assists low-income pet owners, by subsidizing the non-elective veterinary care of their sick/injured pets. The Foundation currently assists:

> Seniors (receiving the Guaranteed Income Supplement),
> Disabled individuals (receiving either the Ontario Disability Support Payment or CPP Disability),
> Ontario Works recipients,
> Pets owned by seniors' care facilities (long-term care facilities, supportive housing, retirement homes),
> women at risk of abuse

The Farley Foundation is a participant in the OVMA SafePet Program.  A program that assists women who are entering registered women's shelters in Ontario, by providing temporary shelter and veterinary care for their pets.
The Foundation was founded by the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association.
Every year during the months of October and November, we help to support the Farley Foundation by spreading awareness and accepting donations on their behalf.  All dontations will recieve a Thank You paw print to display in our front reception area.  Any amount is accepted and appreciated!
$5 donation - Receive a pet food lid
$10 donation - Complimentary pedicure for your furry friend
